From the time I began my professional career to where I am today, I have been incredibly fortunate to be part of a journey filled with extraordinary opportunities, meaningful challenges, and inspiring people. Over the course of my career with multinational EPC companies, I have contributed to complex projects that spanned industries, disciplines, cultures, and geographic boundaries. These experiences stretched me professionally, strengthened my leadership abilities, and taught me the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and lifelong learning. Each assignment presented an opportunity to grow, not only as a project professional, but as a person.
Looking back, I recognize that whatever success I have achieved has never been a solo accomplishment. It has been shaped by exceptional mentors who invested in my development, leaders who entrusted me with increasing responsibility, and colleagues whose expertise, dedication, and friendship enriched every stage of my career. Working alongside talented professionals from around the world broadened my perspective and challenged me to think beyond my own experiences. Their influence helped shape my character, sharpen my skills, and inspired me to continually strive for excellence. For all of these relationships and opportunities, I remain deeply grateful. The projects themselves were significant, but the people I met and learned from along the way have had the most lasting impact on my life.
Equally important has been the journey of personal growth that took place alongside my professional development. At the age of 24, I experienced a serious illness that became a defining turning point in my life. Although difficult at the time, it awakened a deep appreciation for the importance of health and motivated me to make wellness a lifelong priority. That experience taught me that success means little if we do not have the physical and mental well-being to fully experience and enjoy it.
In my forties, I discovered yoga, which became another transformative chapter in my life. What began as a way to improve my physical health evolved into a practice that strengthened me mentally, increased my self-awareness, and taught me the value of being fully present in each moment. Yoga helped me develop greater resilience, focus, and balance, qualities that positively influenced both my personal life and professional leadership. The impact was so profound that I pursued formal training, earned my Registered Yoga Teacher designation (RYT-200), and began teaching others. One of the most rewarding aspects of this experience has been sharing the benefits of yoga with fellow professionals, including engineers and project teams, helping them discover practical ways to improve both their physical well-being and mental clarity.
As I reflect on the path that has brought me here, I am reminded that true success is not defined by titles, positions, or project milestones alone. Rather, it is found in continuous growth, meaningful relationships, service to others, and the ability to live with purpose and gratitude. My career has provided opportunities to contribute to significant projects around the world, but my greatest appreciation is for the people, experiences, and lessons that shaped me along the way. For that, I remain profoundly grateful.
