Frankie D. Terrell

Frankie Terrell is a corporate executive security operations leader based in the Greater Chicagoland Area and currently serves as the Security Manager at St. Francis Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare. With more than a decade of experience spanning high risk security field operations, security administrative supervision, aviation, healthcare, critical infrastructure protection, and emergency management. Terrell provides strategic and operational leadership focused on protecting people, assets, and mission-critical infrastructure.

In Terrell's current role he provides strategic and operational leadership for hospital security programs, focusing on the protection of patients, visitors, staff, and critical healthcare assets while supporting a safe and secure environment that enables quality patient care. 

Prior to joining Prime Healthcare, Terrell served as Assistant Manager of Global Security at S&C Electric Company, where he contributed to the strategic direction, governance, and operational effectiveness of the organizations global security framework. Terrell's experience spans enterprise security management, operational risk mitigation, crisis management, incident response, physical security, and security program development across complex and mission-critical environments. 

Terrell's career reflects a steady progression through increasingly complex security and leadership roles. Before joining S&C Electric Company, he served as an Aviation Security Sergeant with the Chicago Department of Aviation at O'Hare and Midway International Airports. In that role, he supervised Aviation Security Officers, coordinated security coverage for airport grounds and facilities, conducted security inspections, and supported emergency incidents and special events while ensuring compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Airport Security Emergency Action Plan requirements.

Earlier in his career, Terrell became the first Security Sergeant with the University of Illinois Chicago Police Department, a newly established position within the State of Illinois civil service system. In this role, he helped build and structure the new UI Health Security Services Department. He interviewed and oriented new officers, developed and delivered training programs, enforced policies and procedures, and conducted staff inspections to maintain operational readiness and professional standards.

Terrell began building his professional security foundation as an Armed Security Professional with Universal Services of America and later served as a Professional Armed Security Officer at Rush University Medical Center. These roles provided him with extensive experience in patrol operations, incident response, investigations, emergency assistance, and the protection of patients, visitors, students, employees, and critical assets.

Education has also played an important role in Terrell's professional development. He studied Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration at Westwood College Chicago Loop and Behavioral Sciences at East-West University Chicago. Throughout his career, he has emphasized the importance of professionalism, preparedness, accountability, integrity, and continuous development within the security profession.
