“I attribute much of my success to simply refusing to give up. Life will bring difficult seasons, setbacks, disappointment, and moments when moving forward feels almost impossible. But I have learned that if you can continue to stand, even in your worst moments, you give yourself the opportunity to keep moving forward.Perseverance has been one of the greatest factors in my life. I may not always have had the perfect answer, the perfect opportunity, or the perfect circumstances, but I have made a commitment not to quit. About
Charles Myles is a speaker, trainer, pastor, coach, and author whose career has been shaped by leadership, service, resilience, and a commitment to transforming lives. A former fullback for the University of Arizona football team, Charles carries the lessons of athletics into his leadership philosophy, particularly the importance of servant leadership, teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and creating opportunities for others to succeed.
Before expanding his work as a professional speaker and trainer, Charles spent approximately 20 years as a government contractor, serving in leadership and management roles while supporting projects at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Those experiences strengthened his understanding of leadership, accountability, communication, teamwork, and organizational performance. In 2019, he founded Powerful Days, a training and development organization dedicated to equipping individuals, teams, and organizations with practical tools in leadership, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, personal development, resilience, and positive change.
Charles’s commitment to developing people extends far beyond the corporate environment. As a pastor and Bible teacher, he mentors and empowers people through faith-based leadership and biblical principles. Through his professional training work, he has served law enforcement officers, first responders, correctional professionals, and incarcerated individuals in correctional institutions and training environments, including San Quentin and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Academy. His work also focuses on strengthening relationships and understanding between law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve.
As an author, Charles extends his message beyond the stage and classroom, using both personal experience and professional insight to help readers grow, heal, communicate, and lead more effectively. His published works include Wounded Soul: Death Lived Inside Me, The Speaker & Presenter Framework: How to Think Before You Ever Speak, and The Warrior’s Weapons. His writing reflects the same themes that define his speaking and training: resilience, transformation, leadership, purpose, and the power of changing the way we think.
Charles’s educational background includes studies at the University of Arizona, graduate studies at the University of Phoenix, and ministry education through Vision International College and Seminary. His experiences across athletics, government contracting, ministry, training, authorship, and leadership have shaped a distinctive approach to helping people recognize their potential, challenge limiting patterns, strengthen their leadership, and move confidently toward their purpose.
At the heart of Charles’s work is his guiding message: “Transform Your Mind – Change Your Life.” He believes lasting transformation begins internally—when people change the way they think, interpret their experiences, and respond to the challenges before them. Through speaking, training, ministry, coaching, authorship, and community service, Charles Myles continues to help people overcome barriers, embrace growth, and become stronger leaders who positively influence the people and communities around them. His sustained commitment to leadership, service, resilience, and transformation reflects the qualities behind his nomination for the Angelite Man of the Year Award 2027.

01
What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to simply refusing to give up. Life will bring difficult seasons, setbacks, disappointment, and moments when moving forward feels almost impossible. But I have learned that if you can continue to stand, even in your worst moments, you give yourself the opportunity to keep moving forward.
Perseverance has been one of the greatest factors in my life. I may not always have had the perfect answer, the perfect opportunity, or the perfect circumstances, but I have made a commitment not to quit. That mindset has carried me through challenges personally and professionally, and it remains one of the most important principles I live by today.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to walk in and stand in my calling. I was told that I would never go wrong by remaining committed to what I truly believe I am called to do.
That advice has stayed with me, especially during difficult seasons. When times are hard and you cannot see the next step clearly, stand. When the opportunity to move forward comes, walk. Stay faithful to your purpose, your values, and the work you believe you have been called to do.
I’ve learned that success is not always about immediate results. Sometimes success is simply remaining aligned with your calling even when the journey becomes difficult. If you stay committed to that, even the toughest seasons can become part of your growth rather than the end of your story.

What advice would you give to young men entering your industry?
Know your message. Know what you want people to understand, and know how you want your work to lift, build, and impact others. More importantly, know your calling.
When you are clear about your calling, you are not simply speaking to be heard—you are speaking from a place of purpose. That clarity gives your message direction, authenticity, and consistency. Trends may change, and audiences may change, but when you understand what you are called to do, you will always have something meaningful to say and a reason for saying it.

04
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is helping people see themselves through the gifts, abilities, and potential they already possess. Too often, people focus more on what they lack than on what has already been placed within them.
At the same time, that challenge creates one of the greatest opportunities: meeting people right where they are and helping lift them from that place. I believe transformation does not have to wait until circumstances are perfect. You can begin changing the way you think, see yourself, and approach your future right where you are.
That is why my message remains simple: Transform Your Mind – Change Your Life. Change can begin before your environment changes, before the opportunity comes, and before everything makes sense. It starts within.

05
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Humility, integrity, and courage are three values that drive everything I do.
Humility keeps me grounded and reminds me that leadership is about service, not simply position. Integrity means doing what is right even when no one is watching and making sure my actions align with what I say I believe. Courage is what allows me to keep moving forward, make difficult decisions, and stand firm during challenging seasons.
Those three values shape how I lead, how I serve, and how I strive to live both personally and professionally.
