FOUNDER TO THE PROFILE
CEO, GenEdge Consulting LLC
“I attribute my success to recognizing opportunities and having the confidence to act on them. After seeing a growing need for consulting, particularly in the rapidly evolving field of AI, I decided to come out of retirement and launch my own consulting business. I saw an opportunity to leverage my years of professional experience while helping individuals and organizations navigate technological change, adapt to emerging AI capabilities, and make informed decisions in an increasingly digital environment.”
Walter Warner is the Chief Executive Officer of GenEdge Consulting LLC, based in North Canton, Ohio, where he provides education technology consulting focused on the practical and responsible use of artificial intelligence in educational settings. His approach centers on integrity, continuous learning, and curriculum-driven technology use, with an emphasis on ensuring that technology supports educational goals rather than becoming the goal itself. Drawing on decades of experience in teaching, leadership, curriculum development, and educational technology, Warner works to help schools thoughtfully integrate AI while preserving the human judgment, relationships, and educational purpose that remain central to effective student learning.
IN HIS OWN WORDS
I attribute my success to recognizing opportunities and having the confidence to act on them. After seeing a growing need for consulting, particularly in the rapidly evolving field of AI, I decided to come out of retirement and launch my own consulting business. I saw an opportunity to leverage my years of professional experience while helping individuals and organizations navigate technological change, adapt to emerging AI capabilities, and make informed decisions in an increasingly digital environment.
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never stop learning. This is a field that is constantly evolving, particularly with the rapid advancement of technology and AI, so I believe it is essential to stay current, continually expand my knowledge, and remain open to adapting as new technologies and opportunities emerge.
The best advice I would give to young men entering my industry is to never stop learning and to pursue work that you genuinely enjoy. When you find something you truly love to do, it becomes easier to remain curious, continue developing your skills, and stay motivated to give your best effort.
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is keeping pace with rapidly changing technology. New tools and capabilities, particularly in AI, are developing at an unprecedented rate, making it essential to stay informed, continually expand my knowledge, and remain adaptable. I see these changes not only as challenges but also as opportunities to embrace new technologies, apply them effectively, and continue providing meaningful value in an evolving industry.
Integrity and always doing the right thing are at the core of how I approach both my work and my personal relationships. I believe in being honest, making ethical decisions, and treating everyone with respect and fairness, regardless of the circumstances. For me, maintaining strong principles means doing what is right even when no one is watching and consistently striving to build trust through my actions.
