FOUNDER TO THE PROFILE
Founder and CEO, Zarco AI Systems, LLC
“I attribute my success to God, who has given me inspiration, guidance, and the ideas to build what I have today. Since becoming saved in 2022, my life has become more focused, and I have trusted His direction in every step of my journey.”
Steve DeLong is the Founder and CEO of Zarco AI Systems LLC. He builds AI-powered career and education platforms so people can find work, learn a skill, and take the next step. Through REACH and Genesis ITU he connects job seekers with opportunities and trains the seats employers actually hire: help desk, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud. The work is practical. A cert a person can finish. A ticket they can explain. A job after the work. Families and communities first.
He has given more than 21 years to the United States Postal Service — mail carrier, plant maintenance, and now field maintenance supervisor. He served in the Air National Guard from 2009 to 2017. He holds certifications in hazmat, asbestos, and mold. Public service, maintenance, technology, and workforce development taught him the same rule: master one skill at a time, then help the next person do the same.
He is not self-made. His father, Gene DeLong, passed in January 2025, ten days after Steve married. Gene served in the Ohio National Guard and helped shape the man Steve is — show up, do the work, take care of your people. His mother, Diana, carried the spiritual leadership of the home. Her prayers held when he was not a man worth following. He became a follower of Jesus Christ on June 1, 2022. His wife, Megan, stands with him in the work. He also credits his mentor, Antonio Shaw as a spiritual leader and good friend.
Outside of work he enjoys baseball and motorcycles. The same perseverance goes into the school: help people and families build a stronger future
IN HIS OWN WORDS
I attribute my success to God, who has given me inspiration, guidance, and the ideas to build what I have today. Since becoming saved in 2022, my life has become more focused, and I have trusted His direction in every step of my journey.
The best career advice I’ve received is to choose one skill, narrow my focus, and finish it before moving on. Taking on too many things at once can prevent me from completing any of them effectively.
I would advise young men to focus on one skill at a time, finish the chapter, and apply what they learn. Be honest in your work, put in the effort, and make sure you can explain and apply what you’ve learned.
The biggest challenge is learning and mastering areas like coding, payroll, and web development independently before putting them into practice. Each skill requires time and effort to understand, connect, and build in a way that makes sense.
My Christian faith and relationship with God are the foundation of my values. I believe in treating everyone fairly, avoiding favoritism, maintaining consistent standards, ensuring fair schedules, and making safety a priority in the workplace.
