Robert Madsen is a search consultant specializing in public accounting at GPAC, where he focuses on connecting talented professionals with accounting firms across the United States. Before joining GPAC, Robert built more than a decade of experience in sales leadership, business development, recruiting, and relationship management. He spent approximately 10 years with Spectrum Business, progressing from Account Executive to SMB Direct Sales Manager, where he led teams, developed talent, managed strategic partnerships, and drove business growth. Earlier in his career, he served as a Casino Manager at Lucky Lil’s Casinos and as a Manager at Just Sports, gaining extensive experience in team leadership, operations, customer service, and performance management.
Robert holds an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement from Dawson Community College and has also pursued education in small business. Based in the Greater Billings area of Montana, he brings a relationship-driven approach to his work and is recognized for his focus on honesty, integrity, and helping others succeed. His combination of leadership experience, consultative sales expertise, and recruiting knowledge allows him to effectively understand both the needs of employers and the career aspirations of accounting professionals.

    What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

    Never give up on your dreams! Set goals for yourself and watch them get bigger! Stick with the ones that helped you and watch them grow to be the successful

    What advice would you give to young men entering your industry?

    it will come, rely on your coaches, mentors it will happen. Don’t get frustrated, listen on both sides!

    What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

    Recruiting is a billion dollar industry so competition is hot.

    What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

    Family and Jesus Christ are number 1! Spending time with my kids weather is bowling, goofy dancing, or playing our weekly game of Mario Party. Family will always be there and they will support 100% of the time!


    Throwing in my football season is huge!
