Michael Northrop is a seasoned graphic designer and visual communications professional based in Gilbert, Arizona, with more than 20 years of experience creating impactful graphics, motion graphics, illustrations, and videos. His career has focused on using visual storytelling and persuasive design to support communication, promotional, scientific, and business objectives. He has held creative roles with organizations including Honeywell Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, Arizona State University, Microchip Technology, and The Translational Genomics Research Institute. Throughout his career, Michael has developed visual assets for high-value Department of Defense proposals, and scientific research initiatives. Also well-versed in the design of presentations, publications, websites, advertisements, and fundraising campaigns. At Arizona State University, he served as an Art Director and Senior Multimedia Developer, creating scientific proposal diagrams, illustrations, videos, animations, and web graphics while mentoring emerging designers. His work has also earned recognition through cover art featured in scientific journals, including Nature Nanotechnology and Neoplasia, demonstrating his ability to combine creativity with complex technical and scientific subject matter.
