Ryan Crawford is an accomplished author and Ride / Show Control Engineer at Universal Studios, where he applies his technical expertise to help ensure the safe and reliable operation of rides and attractions for guests. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, an educational foundation that strengthened his analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills. Crawford draws on these same qualities in his writing, approaching the creative process with discipline, structure, and attention to detail. Crawford’s journey as an author began during a challenging period in his life, following a difficult divorce, when he turned to writing as a meaningful outlet. He brought to life a story he had carried in his imagination for nearly 30 years and taught himself the publishing process after an unfavorable experience with an independent publisher. His determination ultimately led him to self-publish three books and establish his own publishing company, Crawford Adventures. He continues to develop his craft while working primarily on his writing during weekend mornings. At the heart of Crawford’s professional and personal philosophy are honesty, loyalty, integrity, and the importance of keeping one’s word. He attributes much of his success to perseverance and believes that setbacks should never become reasons to abandon a goal. As he continues to build his career as an author, Crawford hopes to expand his readership and one day see his stories adapted into a film or television series.
