Rev. Dr. Sylvester Wright is a workforce development leader, faith-based executive, and community advocate serving within the adult justice system. Through his leadership at Business Interface Workforce, he directs employment, education, and wraparound services designed to help returning citizens overcome barriers to employment and successfully reintegrate into their communities. He also leads veteran and military-spouse support initiatives that combine workforce development, career preparation, employment placement, and supportive services, with an emphasis on addressing the broader challenges that can affect successful career transitions. His community involvement extends to advocacy and service on multiple boards, as well as recent past training in supporting autistic children/adults including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Dr. Wright’s professional and academic background reflects a multidisciplinary commitment to leadership, counseling, ministry, and community service.
He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Apologetics, Counseling & Leadership and a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) in Theology, Bible Studies, Christian Ministry & Writings, complemented by certifications and professional training across multiple fields, including trauma-informed care and advanced Christian counseling. He is presently pursuing accelerated and degree, continuing his commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. His work integrates education, behavioral health, workforce development, advocacy, and faith-based service, allowing him to approach community challenges from both a systems perspective and a human-centered one. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Rev. Dr. Wright is the Founder and Prelate of Faith, Mercy & Truth Ministry International, where he leads international ministry initiatives and supports church-planting efforts. His outreach includes the production of weekly Gospel radio broadcasts in Sierra Leone, Uganda and Kenya, as well as the establishment of a church in Lahore Shahadra, Pakistan. He attributes his accomplishments to his deep faith in God and the principles of integrity that guide his personal and professional decisions. Dr. Wright encourages others to remain open to positive opportunities and actions while maintaining the discernment to distinguish what is right from what is wrong. Through ministry, workforce development, advocacy, education, and community service, he remains dedicated to restoring hope, empowering individuals, and creating pathways toward dignity, purpose, and meaningful opportunity.

I advise young men entering my industry to remain open to opportunities that are positive and constructive while maintaining the integrity to carefully discern what is right from what is wrong. I believe success requires not only a willingness to embrace new experiences and challenges, but also the character and judgment to make decisions that align with strong values and principles.
I see the biggest opportunities in my field at the intersection of technology, human connection, and adaptability. Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are creating new ways for businesses and professionals to improve efficiency, make informed decisions, personalize experiences, and solve complex problems. At the same time, I believe uniquely human skills such as creativity, leadership, empathy, communication, critical thinking, and relationship building remain essential. There is tremendous opportunity for individuals who are willing to continuously learn, develop new skills, embrace technology, and adapt their experience to changing industries and career paths. Entrepreneurship and personal visibility also present significant opportunities, as technology has made it easier to build businesses, reach new audiences, establish credible personal brands, and create meaningful partnerships. Ultimately, I believe those who will thrive are the people who can embrace change while remaining focused on solving real problems, creating value, building trust, continuing to learn, and helping others succeed.
The values that matter most to me in both my professional and personal life are integrity, authenticity, accountability, empathy, perseverance, and continuous growth. Integrity is foundational because I believe a person’s reputation is one of the most valuable assets they can build, and it is shaped by the decisions they make when no one is watching. I strive to be honest, keep my commitments, take responsibility for my actions, and treat others fairly. I also value authenticity and believe the strongest leaders understand who they are, recognize what they bring to the table, and remain open to areas where they can grow. Accountability is equally important to me, as is perseverance—the ability to remain focused, adapt, and continue moving forward when challenges arise. Above all, I believe in continuous growth and learning, using every experience as an opportunity to become better, contribute more, and positively impact the people around me.
