FOUNDER TO THE PROFILE
Independent business owner of sober living homes and Director of Operations, The Noah Lee Foundation
“The biggest thing is the hard work, the 12-15 hour days, working 6-7 days a week. Having that goal in mind and knowing that you're gonna stop at nothing to achieve it. Big goals don't come with light work.”
Noah Lee is an independent business owner specializing in behavioral health housing and sober living environments. With three years in the field and two years as a business owner, he founded a 501c3 nonprofit, secured leases on five homes, and now works with multiple agencies in the Valley to deliver safe, supportive sober living for individuals facing substance abuse and mental health challenges. Noah began his career at the base level as a behavioral health tech and case manager before advancing to therapist, drawing from his own experience overcoming addiction and incarceration after his release from prison three years ago. He also serves as Director of Operations for Shepherd's Healthcare, where he took on the role two to three months ago to strengthen leadership. His expertise centers on licensing and compliance for sober living and recovery homes as well as securing suitable properties for treatment centers. Noah is a board member for The Barbell Saves Project and is halfway through his bachelor's degree in social work at GCU, with aspirations to obtain his LCSW and a doctorate. He attributes his success to rigorous hard work, often logging 12 to 15 hour days six or seven days a week, and maintains a people-first approach focused on outcomes rather than financial gain.
IN HIS OWN WORDS
The biggest thing is the hard work, the 12-15 hour days, working 6-7 days a week. Having that goal in mind and knowing that you're gonna stop at nothing to achieve it. Big goals don't come with light work.
Don't give up, keep doing the next right thing.
Glean all the knowledge you can, learn the rules, memorize them. Be prepared to follow them and document everything. Be prepared to work hard. If you don't have a formal education, go back to school.
The biggest challenge is coming in as an outsider in a competitive industry. The housing is the biggest opportunity because creating the best environments contributes to better outcomes.
People-first, recovery-first environment. Money's never really been the primary focus. I really just want outcomes. Love seeing guys set and achieve goals and change their lives.
