About
Michael G. Manning is a spiritual teacher and author whose life and work have been shaped by more than 55 years on the spiritual path, beginning when he was 17. He has offered spiritual counseling since his teens, became a Certified Spiritual Counselor in 2013, and has been a Certified Professional Coach since 2014.
Alongside his spiritual work, Manning spent nearly two decades in technology, working as a software engineer, systems administrator, and program manager at companies including General Dynamics and Canon, and rising to IT director through a commitment to focus, discipline, and mastery. He later taught mathematics at Colorado Mountain College and mathematics and science in middle and high schools, retiring from teaching in June 2025. His ability to combine analytical thinking with spiritual insight informs how he helps others understand themselves and their purpose.
Manning earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from UCLA in 1974 and a master's degree in naval architecture from UC Berkeley in 1976. He trained as a professional coach through iPEC and as a spiritual counselor through Voice for Love. These experiences shaped a coaching philosophy centered on self-awareness, personal growth, and alignment, encouraging people to look beyond external expectations and discover their authentic selves.
As an author, Manning explores personal transformation, self-discovery, sovereignty, and spiritual alignment. His books include The True Self, a work on finding one's true self, and The Integrity of Creation, which presents a framework for understanding sovereignty and living in greater alignment.
Today he teaches and coaches through meditation, breathwork, and one-on-one work, helping people live from who they truly are rather than who they were taught to be. The values of love, kindness, compassion, contribution, and service guide his work with others.
