Nutrition Consultant, YMCA of the USA

“I attribute my success to the personal health journey that reshaped every part of my life. Walking through my own challenges taught me discipline, resilience, compassion, and the importance of rebuilding myself from the inside out. That transformation became the foundation of my purpose — helping others strengthen their health, their confidence, and their well‑being. But above all, I owe my strength to Jesus. My journey brought me closer to Him, and His grace gave me the power to push forward when I didn’t have it on my own. Everything I’ve built, everything I’ve overcome, and everything I strive to help others achieve is rooted in the strength He placed in me.”

At the heart of Jerome’s approach is a belief in service and compassion. IN HIS OWN WORDS

The Q and A

  1. 01

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the personal health journey that reshaped every part of my life.

Everything I’ve built, everything I’ve overcome, and everything I strive to help others achieve is rooted in the strength He placed in me.

  2. 02

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was to be honest with myself and with others. I first encountered that lesson in a book by Bill Phillips early in my journey, and it reshaped how I approach integrity, communication, and leadership. It taught me that real success starts with truth — truth about who you are, what you stand for, and how you show up for people.

That principle became even more powerful as my relationship with Jesus deepened. His example of truth, strength, and humility showed me that honesty isn’t just a professional value — it’s a spiritual one. Because of that foundation, I’ve been able to push through challenges, stay grounded in my purpose, and build a career rooted in authenticity and service.

  3. 03

What advice would you give to young men entering your industry?

The advice I give young men entering this industry is simple: give it your all, and stay honest with yourself and with others. Your work will only be as strong as your integrity. Show up with discipline, stay committed to growth, and don’t cut corners — not in your character, not in your effort, and not in the way you treat people.

My own journey taught me that honesty creates clarity, clarity builds confidence, and confidence fuels momentum. And above all, lean on God. The strength Jesus gave me is what allowed me to push through the hardest seasons of my life and career. When you combine integrity, effort, and faith, you become unstoppable.

  4. 04

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field is the flood of misinformation that leaves people confused, discouraged, and doubting their own ability to change. But that challenge has revealed something powerful: people are hungry for truth again. They’re craving guidance that’s disciplined, honest, and rooted in faith — not trends.

For me, this isn’t just professional. It’s personal. I’ve seen what happens when someone finally receives clarity after years of confusion. I’ve seen how hope rises when truth cuts through the noise. And I’ve felt the strength Jesus gives when I show up with integrity, consistency, and conviction.

That’s the opportunity in front of us: to lead people back to truth, to restore their confidence, and to help them step into the health and strength God intended for them. One disciplined step at a time, one honest conversation at a time, one act of faith at a time — we can help people transform their lives from the inside out.

  5. 05

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me were born out of the hardest chapters of my life. Honesty became essential when I had to face myself — really face myself — and admit what needed to change. Compassion grew from knowing what it feels like to struggle and not want to quit. Discipline came from rebuilding my life piece by piece, even on days when I felt empty.

And faith… faith is the value that holds all the others together. Jesus carried me through moments I didn’t have the strength to survive on my own. He met me in my brokenness, rebuilt me with purpose, and taught me how to love myself and others with a deeper kind of sincerity.

These values aren’t just principles I work by — they’re the reason I do this. I want to help people because I know what it feels like to need help. I want to lift others because I know what it feels like to be lifted by God when everything inside you feels heavy. My work is personal. It’s spiritual. It’s a reflection of the grace that saved me and the desire to give that same hope to someone else.
