FOUNDER TO THE PROFILE
Assistant Branch Manager, Mountain West Distributors
“For the first part of my life, I was raised by a single mother, who taught me the importance of hard work, responsibility, sacrifice, and resilience. When my mom remarried in middle school, my stepdad—who is now legally my Dad—became another major influence in my life. He taught me that I should never stop working to grow in four areas: my heart, mind, body, and soul, and that each requires consistent effort and intentionality. My wife has been my biggest fan and greatest supporter throughout my journey. She has encouraged me to challenge myself, supported me through difficult goals, and made sacrifices alongside me, especially as we've built our family. Her belief in me motivates me to keep becoming better—not just for myself, but for her and our children.Ultimately, I want to continue growing as a husband, father, leader, and man. I want my sons to see that becoming better doesn't happen overnight. It is built through discipline, consistency, faith, hard work, and the willingness to keep getting back up and moving forward.”
Jeramey Reed is an experienced management and customer service professional serving as Assistant Branch Manager at Mountain West Distributors, Inc. in Denver, Colorado. With nearly a decade at the company, he has progressed from an Account Manager into his current leadership role, developing expertise in relationship building, project management, operations, and customer service within the smart home and housing distribution sector. He began his career around 2005 in installation and hands-on work before moving into distribution and management, building a practical understanding of both the technical and business sides of the industry. His career has been shaped by a commitment to serving customers, developing relationships, and leading with consistency and accountability. Jeramey's background also includes extensive experience in the audio and entertainment industries. He spent more than ten years with A Music Plus Entertainment as a Production Technician, DJ, and Entertainer, maintaining DJ equipment and IT systems while providing entertainment for weddings, corporate events, school dances, fundraisers, and other gatherings. He later served as Lead Security Engineer with All Safe-N-Sound and as a Project Manager with Office Interiors Denver, adding experience in security, office furniture solutions, project coordination, and customer-focused operations. Jeramey has continued his passion for entertainment through Soundcutz, his mobile DJ business, where he draws on more than 20 years of experience to help create memorable experiences for clients. Education and personal development have remained important parts of Jeramey's professional journey. He completed the Customer Experience Certificate Program through the University of Colorado Boulder, where he developed skills in customer journey mapping, customer satisfaction, and customer service, and he previously earned a Master of Recording Arts II certificate from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. Outside of work, Jeramey is involved with the faith-based men's group The Herd, where he continues to grow his leadership abilities, and has completed the 75 Hard program twice, reflecting the discipline and determination he developed from an early age. Those experiences continue to influence his approach to leadership, personal growth, and the importance of showing up consistently for the people around him.
IN HIS OWN WORDS
For the first part of my life, I was raised by a single mother, who taught me the importance of hard work, responsibility, sacrifice, and resilience.
Her belief in me motivates me to keep becoming better—not just for myself, but for her and our children.
Ultimately, I want to continue growing as a husband, father, leader, and man. I want my sons to see that becoming better doesn't happen overnight. It is built through discipline, consistency, faith, hard work, and the willingness to keep getting back up and moving forward.
Keep pushing forward and never stop learning. With continued effort, dedication, and a willingness to grow, you'll keep improving and finding new opportunities for success.
There will always be setbacks along the way, but the key is to keep pushing through them. Stay focused, learn from the challenges, and don't give up when things get difficult. I believe setbacks are part of growth, and they can often teach us more than our successes do.
When things don't go according to plan, I try to focus on what I can control, take responsibility for my part, and figure out what I can learn from the experience. Progress isn't always going to be quick or obvious, but continuing to show up, adapt, and put in the work is what ultimately creates forward momentum.
I also believe that resilience isn't about never struggling or never getting knocked down. It's about having the discipline to get back up, make the adjustment, and keep moving forward. The goal isn't perfection; it's continual growth and refusing to let a difficult season define the outcome.
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is finding opportunities to continue growing and advancing in a difficult market. In wholesale sales, success is built heavily on relationships—developing trust with customers, understanding their businesses, and staying engaged even when there may not be an immediate opportunity to sell.
When the market slows down, maintaining those relationships can become more challenging. Customers may have fewer projects, tighter budgets, or less time to engage, which means we have to be more intentional about staying connected and finding ways to provide value beyond simply making a sale.
For me, the challenge is not just finding new business, but continuing to grow existing relationships, identifying opportunities where they exist, and demonstrating enough value that customers continue to see us as a resource and partner.
Honesty, integrity, and authenticity are the core values that guide me. I believe in being genuine, doing the right thing even when it may not be the easiest choice, and staying true to who I am in both my personal and professional life.
I believe relationships are built on trust, and trust comes from being consistent, transparent, and dependable. I want people to know that they can take me at my word, whether I’m working with a customer, supporting a coworker, or leading by example. I also believe in treating people with respect, taking ownership when I make mistakes, and always looking for ways to improve.
For me, success isn't just about what I accomplish. It’s also about how I accomplish it and the impact I have on the people around me. I want to be someone who adds value, builds people up, and leaves things—and relationships—better than I found them.
