Jason Fort is a law enforcement professional, independent author, and volunteer chaplain based in Easley, South Carolina. He currently serves as a School Resource Officer with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, a position he has held since 2020 after nearly nine years as a police officer with Greenville Health System. Before entering law enforcement, Jason worked in education and fitness, serving as a physical education teacher, assistant football coach, wellness coach, personal trainer, and speed and agility coach. This diverse background has provided him with experience in education, public safety, fitness, leadership, and community service.
Jason has developed extensive expertise in law enforcement, defensive tactics, and community support. He holds a Class 1 Basic Law Enforcement certification from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and has earned certifications as a Defensive Tactics Instructor and Ground Defense Instructor. He also serves as a volunteer chaplain with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, providing support during crises and death notifications. His commitment to service extends into his faith community, where he has previously served as a homegroup facilitator and church safety team coordinator. Jason earned a degree in physical education from Erskine College and a Master’s in Divinity from Liberty University, supporting his continued interest in pastoral ministry.
In addition to his public service career, Jason is a prolific independent author who has self-published more than 20 books since 2014. His writing encompasses Christian fiction, thrillers, apocalyptic fiction, short stories, poetry, family memoirs, biographical novels, and historical fiction, with recurring themes of faith, family, morality, conflict, and resilience. Among his works are The Brothers from Kim Street, Some Wars Never End, and The Decapolis Man. Jason also practices Wing Chun and has a strong interest in martial arts. Through his work in law enforcement, chaplaincy, ministry, and writing, Jason seeks to serve others, share his faith, and make a positive impact on his community.
