About
Cedrick Wilson owns and operates Fed Over Mechanic LLC, a mobile mechanic service in Selmer, Tennessee. He brings 20 years of hands-on mechanic experience to his business, which he launched about one year ago while continuing to work a regular job. Prior to starting his mobile service, Wilson spent three years building mobile homes and another three years in construction, including vinyl siding, bottom side work, and home repair and remodeling. He earned a high school diploma and obtained FEMA and fire safety certifications during his time as a volunteer firefighter. Wilson also holds a business license and has formed an LLC for his company. In addition to his professional work, he is in the process of establishing Gospel Way Ministry to serve his local community.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to Jesus. Where I was, where my testimony begins, I beat the odds. I was poor; I was a drug dealer; I sold drugs, and now I do everything legal. I beat the odds because people like that I grew up with some of them in prison.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received is love what you're doing. Because if you don't love what you're doing, then you would do it halfway.

All the advice you can get, listen, and then when you apply it, make it your own.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The most challenging part is being in a small town, small area. You have to expand your radius because you're in a small area.
