    Persistence and having extremely good mentors, especially my late father and uncle.

    Be humble, be respectful, be tenacious. Those three things. I call it the Trinity of Formation.

    Acquire as many skills as possible. Be a good listener and observer of nature and light.

    What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

    Challenges: Staying on top of technology and working with more limited budgets. Opportunities: Independent cinema making a good path in Hollywood thanks to films like Parasite and Anora.

    Respect, especially to the director. Good communication and empathy with the crew. Servant leadership by helping carry equipment.
